I've got a tradition of watching Halloween 3 with a mate around now, every time I notice new details. My favourite thing is how Dan Challis is a total drunk but it doesn't really come into the plot at all. When he goes off on his adventure to the Silver Shamrock town he takes a 6-pack of beers with him and almost the first thing after they arrive he says that it's getting late and he could do with a drink, then goes down and buys a big bottle of spirits (that he shares with a tramp). It's the best!

I've bought sweets for the swarm of kids we're expecting tonight (Zaki's gingerbread house).

If I see another 16 year old twat face trick or treat, I'm closing the door.

I don't have a multi-region player (just the PS4 and Bone), so had to leave it and get it on Amazon Prime Video for £1.99 last year. No ragrets.

Such a great film. The music, the atmosphere, the mystery. All amazing.

        It also makes NO sense.

Cheers Chimp. I might go down the Amazon route too.

I'm surprised someone like Arrow hasn't picked up the UK rights to publish the blu.

Yeah, it's got a bit of a cult following, so I'm surprised it's not got a UK release when some other, questionable choices seem to get released.

Just discovered that Michael Myers is in Halloween III and not just in the advert on the telly in the bar.

Dick Warlock played Myers in Halloween II and an evil henchman in III!

It does make it sound like he's The Wizard of Porn ™.

I have it, it's my fav in the series and also one of the best horror films going. A real proper Halloween film based on old myths and tales; Dan O'Herlihy was just outstanding in this film (so believable) Also, loved the title screen introduction too and the music is amazing I loved all that synthesized stuff, some great Makeup effects by Tom Burman too

My village is very much like the town in the film all 'outsiders' are observed LOL

Awesome, but when it comes to music in horror films this is the best IMO.

Claudio Simonetti music is awesome. I had one hell of a job to get the soundtrack of Demoni back in the day (before the internet) LOL

Shout/Scream Factory is right up with Arrow and Anchor Bay for amazing extra's (if not better). It's a shame their version of Day Of Dead (1984) and Dolls have still yet been brought over to Pal by the likes of Arrow.

Yeah, I got and love his Suspiria soundtracks. It's awesome. I miss the days of those Italian horror films

It's interesting, because historically you've had string orchestras providing the music and it's frequently incredible (Psycho, for example), but sometimes non-standard genres seem to work too. I'm guessing John Carpenter couldn't afford an orchestra on Precinct 13, so did it himself. That accident made synth music synonymous with those kind of films. The Day of the Dead soundtrack is terrifying!

Likewise, Goblin are a prog band, but their music just seems to work and add an extra layer to whatever they're used on from Italian detective movies to horror.

Oh man, that spider scene in The Beyond is this horrible conflict of slowly-crawling terror and amiable prog!
