    Fifa soccer, BBC report.

    Quality journalism...
Fifa 21 is out, but how much has the game changed since it was first released?

"It was pretty ground-breaking, as it used isometric technology, instead of 16-bit style which was popular at the time"

Does that mean Pelé was ground-breaking too? That came out at the same time.

      Confusing isometric with polygons. Ffs.

What a terrible article. Says fifa eventually went 3d in 96 with the Saturn and PlayStation versions. Fifa94 on 3do says hello. 3d , multiple camera angles in 1994.

Bloody hell... has that journo got egg on their face. Even the humble 8-bit Spectrum was doing isometric games in the early '80s.

And as Brad has stated -- the first proper 3D FIFA was on the 3DO in 1994.

A clear case of someone not doing their research. What a joke.

Isometric isn’t a technology even; it’s a design choice. Absolute laziness and or incompetence. Exactly what I expect from the modern bbc sadly.
