Im going to agree with Rep, on the Saturn Vs DC. But as i mostly play shmups then lets face it the saturn has got a better catalogue of them imo.

Go for it - whilst I don't have the love affair with the machine that others do, for a few dollars it's well worth it & there are some great games available for not much cash.

Plus, Psyvariar 2 is coming, the week in which I'll be moving into my local monastery with my DC, a TV & some sack-cloth. Nobody to disturb me.

If you like arcade games (and I certainly do) then its fantastic. If not then I'd say steer clear.

anyway i would buy it if i was you, i first had a dreamcast when they came down to ?100 but i sold it after only 3 months because i couldn't afford the games for it allthough i did get shenmue and completed it.
then in april this year i think i brought one for ?35 with 3 games and a mem card, now ive got around 30 games for it includeing shenmue1 and 2, REZ and cosmic smash. it's the console that i play on the most, i had a cube but sold that because i never played on it
so do get a dreamcast you can get most games for under a tenner

I've had one for a year or so but have only just started getting in to it with all the Capcom fighters,a few years too late.
Would some kind soul post a list of essential titles,as i've just got an NTSC boot up disk and was interested in some of the Jpn shooters?

Oh there's more. At least 50 top quality games were released on the DC. Which is outstanding really when you consider it's main lifespan was only roughly around 30 months.

2000 was such an awesome time for the DC. It completely owned that year in the console sector.
