      I think it was WE6 or WE6FE that had “scummo, yerrow cardo”, and my mates and I would continue the practice of calling each other “scummo” upon being the recipient of a hearty challenge on later iterations of the game. I also remember “chance desu”.

          I was well into winning eleven games at one point, me and pinny. I remember trying to translate some of the player names using a kanji sheet (does that sound right?) I always remember that Steve Harper was Haa-Paa, and Titus Bramble was something like Bram-broo.

                  Your ears must be broken. The track Nu-Eclipse posted sounds like someone trying really hard to make Amiga music. The PS2 version’s regular menu music is better:
