What makes you think it did? It's pictured with an Atari VCS and is described as being a cartridge in the text.

And it did come out for the 2600 (as opposed to being vapourware).

Ah. Not really knowing anything Atari I didn't realise that the thing in picture was one. Thought it was some standalone unit, with a cart.

Shame they never ported it to the SMS or MD....
