    Gary Coleman RIP

Died of a brain haemorrhage not long ago.

It's probably a sign of starting to age that all these stars I watched when growing up are starting to die.

    That's sad news indeed.

Loved Different Strokes as a kid grew up watching him too (I'm nearly 36).

Jeez the cast of that show had some serious bad luck didn't they?

My Dad broke the news to me with a text, saying he'd had a good innings at 142. I lol'd.
        Kept you waiting, huh?

That's a damn shame - although like most people my age (I'm 23), I had no real exposure to him growing up, so I'm not going to pretend that this has a major effect on me just because Family Guy has made it fashionable to.

I'm really not. I just gather he is a star of a sitcom in the 80s but I've not seen him in anything.

Yeah he's most famous for Different Strokes and at the height of his fame was the highest paid star on US tv.

He has been featured a lot in Family Guy recently and in a Xmas episode of the simpsons as well.

He had an illness when he was a kid that stunted his growth to 4 foot 8 which I guess made his money for him. Heh.

Not ashamed to admit I grew up when this show was huge - What ya talking about Willis was regular playground banter.

When I was a kid, and we used to watch Different Strokes, my Dad had convinced me that Coleman was 70-odd. I believed it for years.
