a few iphone questions from a noob

ok i just last week bought a brand new pay n go iphone 3g on o2 extremely cheap and got it jailbroken(has installous and cydia on it).

i'm enjoying the phone very much.........its my first mobile in 3 years!!!

here's the questions......

1.ive dl'd itunes on my laptop(the phone hasnt been anywhere near a pc yet)so what will happen when i connect it up?.

2.will i lose the jailbreak?

3. will it force an update to the iphone if i sync it to itunes?

Welcome to the club!

iTunes will create a backup of what you've got on your iPhone right now. It will alert you of an update but you can tell it not to remind you or install the update. Hope that helps.
