    F.A Cup Thread

Seeing as the 3rd round is upon us thought it might be a good idea to have a cup thread.

Quite a good draw and it was well funny when Noel and some bloke from Kasabian drew their teams against one another (Leicester v Man City)

Terrible 3rd round draw for Wednesday again, was hoping for a money spinning home tie or trip to Dover.

    FA Cup third round draw:
    Burnley v Port Vale
    Coventry v Crystal Palace
    Bristol City v Sheffield Wednesday
    Fulham v Peterborough
    Doncaster v Wolves
Brighton or FC United of Manchester v Portsmouth
    Huddersfield v Dover Athletic
Crawley Town or Swindon v Derby
    West Ham v Barnsley
    Reading v West Brom
    Arsenal v Leeds
    Sheffield Utd v Aston Villa
    Leicester v Man City
    Bolton v York
    Blackburn v QPR
    Swansea v Colchester
    Wycombe v Hereford or Lincoln
    Stevenage v Newcastle
    Burton Albion v Middlesbrough
    Millwall v Birmingham
    Southampton v Blackpool
    Watford v Hartlepool or Yeovil
    Chelsea v Ipswich
Sunderland v Notts County or Bournemouth
    Scunthorpe v Everton
    Man Utd v Liverpool
    Hull v Wigan
    Stoke v Cardiff
    Tottenham v Charlton or Luton
    Preston v Nottingham Forest
Norwich v Droylsden or Leyton Orient
    Torquay v Carlisle

Quite happy with York at home, probably as 'easy' a tie as anyone could hope for.

I quite fancy Scunthorpe to beat Everton.

Nice for a big name draw early on (means another 'lower' side progresses to the next round). Only shame is that it'll probably rob a lower side of the massive income from TV money.

Still, Man U getting Liverpool? 1 in 63 chance. Freaky. That said, the chances of Man U getting drawn against Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City or Spurs lowers the odds to just ~1 in 12 of a big headline draw. When you take into account the various combinations of those teams playing each other, I'd bet the odds go as low as 1 in 3.

uncommon, '(un)lucky draws' are common as muck!

sounds like an amazing game between Orient and Droylsden. Droylsden were 2-1 until the 89th minute and ended up losing 8-2!

What a stupid penalty to give away. What was the defender thinking?

                    Indeed. Good cup tie though.

Aye, it was very entertaining. Always difficult to decide who you want to win when you are watching two clubs you dislike.

Apparently Burton Albion have a player still playing who used to play with the Boro manager Tony Mowbray. Which is quite a mad stat.
