I Love it When a 2011 Plan Comes Together

Because the perfect time to start a thread is when typing with a PS3 pad.

2011 is beckoning and so people around the world will be making false promises to themselves, plans for grand schemes to pull off by years end or hoping that the man made creation of the transition from one annual calendar to another will trigger a change in fortune for the better.

What are your plans and hopes for the New Year ahead?

      My resolutions are:

      1. Have as painless a divorce as possible.
      2. Get in touch with friends I've not spoken to in a while.
      3. Lose a couple of stone.

      So yeah.

This year, as with pretty much any year, I find it hard to have resolutions because I find myself so aimless. So this year, I guess my resolution is - be more aimless.

My big test this year will be work. As in I may find I either have it for the year or have none. If I have none, I'm going to need a very large set of all-new resolutions.

              1: Lower my debt.

              2: Kick my gambling habit.

3: Become less of a fat arse. I'm never going to be thin but I'd like to go back to being able to just be 'chubby'.

Tough year for me. Still, hopefully this year will also bring a substantial payrise and I'll be able to put "award winning developer" on my CV.

                - Not spend too much on rent or videogames
                - Avoid obsessing over women who have no interest in me

                      1. Clear my credit cards
                      2. Get out of overdraft
                      3. Try to buy a property

I think only first is partially realistic!

                        1. Pick up another MR2, would love to.
                        2. Enjoy my 2 weeks alone when the wife takes the kid to Japan.
                        3. Get back into making music.

Not a lot really, without meaning to sound smug with the couple of divorces in here but I love my life. The only issue I have is my Crohns disease, so long as I keep that under control I should be ok.

                          Start listening to music again.

                          Create instead of consuming.

Socialise outside of the very small handful of set events I attend.

I'll save the direct gaming one's for the expected gaming NYR thread.
