    Modifying a DC arcade stick

MY DC arcade stick is getting a bit loose. It requires a lot of movement in any direction before it actually makes contact. Is there any way in which I can shorten this distance?

    Cheers.

It's pretty easy to open up - it sits in the middle of a white plastic block with four contacts for up, down, left and right - these are the microswitches that make the clicking sound, they are just small bits of plastic that the shaft of the stick pushes against - they are easy to get to though I don't know what you could do in terms of re-aligning them. It's worth taking a look inside though to see what can be done.

The classic thing to do is electrical tape wound around the base of the stick.

Or a rubberband superglued around the base like Saurian did. Ask him for more details.
