I had a Nokia 5800. I left it on the roof of my car so is gone now...
I liked this phone because:
It was robust, light and pretty much indestructible (<<< edit, when I originally typed that, I put "I" instead of "It". Made me laugh).
Touchscreen (albeit a resistive one, but on the slight plus side, I could use it with my mountain bike gloves on).
GPS
Wifi
Bluetooth
Sports-tracker.com app
Nokia Maps (free offline GPS navigation)
Sync with Outlook contacts and calendar.
Mostly I liked it because with daily use of GPS and mobile network for hours of running or cycling, I'd still only have to charge it once a week.
What on earth do I get to replace it? All the new stuff seems to need charging daily.
I'm so out of touch I have no idea what to get. There are some new Nokia with windows, so I might have to go with that. I was considering an old Nokia off ebay, but perhaps I just need to move in the "future" and get a 620 or something. My wife has an HTC which I'm trying out, but the android interface is ghastly and totally unintuitive. I feel like such an old man.
