Good on him. He's a clever man who, his fortune made, realised all the money in the world can't buy true happiness. But using your money through philanthropy, that's a path to feeling good.
I didn't know his father was also a philanthropist. In Bill's case, it must be nice to foster intentions of wanting to do good and also have the shed loads of money required to make it a reality.
The planet can provide the current population with what it needs, but not it's greeds. But if we ain't willing to change our lifestyles, and protect the environment, then, he's right, we need a smaller population.
