Ulnar nerve entrapment - anyone here had it?

Considering we're all gamers and use the computer regularly I thought some might have encountered this type of nerve entrapment.

I've had it for three weeks now and I'm starting to get concerned. I've been to the doctors, he said don't lean on your elbow so I haven't but it's still there.

    Does it go away eventually?

I'm getting worried as I don't want surgery.

Yup, I get this in my right hand to the left side of the palm. It hasn't happened for a while now but when it does it really hurts.

Although I've had it in my foot too which has nothing to do with handhelds I guess.

One common cause of this syndrome is from pressure of bicycle handlebars seen with avid cyclists. Another is from hard, repetitive compression against a desk surface while using a computer mouse.
    Lol, bingo.

That worries me when you say it starts to hurt. It's been pins and needles for ages.

How do you make it go away?

It's more the nerve feeling awkward than actual pain. Hard to describe really.

Usually I'd try push the nerve back as it was supposed to be, but as I say it hasn't happened for a while.

          Get tested with this

          you might have this

Cervical herniated disc symptoms and treatments vary. Options include rest, medication, physical therapy, or surgery if necessary.

I do (C5-C6) It causes bloody havoc with arms, biceps and neck, I have a great physio though

          ------------------------------

If you are concerned ask for a referral to physiotherapy (at the gp) or just pay the ?40-50 for a private session with one that will tell you (or have a very good guess) at the problem. While GPs are great they are not specialists thats why they are called a GP (General Practicioner) better off been looked at by a specialist imo

            Starting to hurt now.

I will look into the specialist physio. I've tried my best sleeping with my arm straight but it's so uncomfortable - I can't sleep on my back it seems.
