    Broken mobile phone help

Hi folks, after a bit of help if possible.

Yesterday i broke my phone (samsung galaxy s2), screen is cracked and no display.
I would like to get my photos etc off it. I've tried plugging it into the laptop but its not picking the phone up as an external drive, also its not being detected through the samsung kies program which would be perfect for transferring all my stuff to my new phone.

Now does anyone know how i could get these off?? I'm not very pc/phone savvy so im hoping someone has a simple solution for this.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help.

    Steve.

If KIES isn't finding it, it would seem like you're buggered mate.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

I take it that the phone is charged and turned on?

Charged but can't really tell where its at as no display. Lights up at the bottom but that's it.
Yeah kies was a kick in the balls when it never picked it up

So.... on the off chance... did you tell the phone to store photos on the external SD card? If so, just whip it out and splurge on to a PC.

If not, remember to use that setting on your next phone.

Is there a micro SD card in it?

Can you pop that in a reader?

There is a micro SD card slot but I've never put one in as phone had a big internal memory.
Yeah yeah yeah learn by my mistakes and all that ha ha

Still hoping I can get them off though.

Doesn't look good for you, when connected to the PC does it show as an "unknown device" in the PC device manager?
Can't think of much else to suggest.
