Recommend me some classic SNES/Megadrive games

Hi

I have just bought myself a Pal SNES and MD, although both can play Jap/US games.

My memory isn't what it used to be, so can you recommend some of the great SNES/MD games I should purchase.

Not too interested in the rare games that are actually not very good, just the games that are good enough to play now.

If you like rpgs then i'd say the Shining Force series is by far the best, in my humble opinion of course.

Heh! Yeah, it's up there with AoF2 alright. However, I have at least fully completed SG+G once in my lifetime, unlike AoF2.

I loved Super Punch Out!! absolutely brilliant. Gaming at its purest. I'd been trained on Punch Out on the Nes and when I got this it was just class.

You have to get most of the Nintendo line-up like most have mentioned, Super Mario World 1 + 2, Pilotwings, Mario Kart etc...

The first Donkey Kong Country was ace, never played 2 and 3 though.

Snes was an RPG heaven - Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy III (theres II as well but never tried that), Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Earthbound, Illusion of Time, Breath of Fire I + II. I could go on, you might not even like RPGs

Smash Tennis was a brilliant multi-player game along with Bomberman (I found 2 to be the best)

Megadrive
You MUST dig up a copy of ToeJam & Earl in co-op it was the most fun I had on MD, simple but comedy brilliance. Theres a sequel aswell which is a decent Platformer (co-op aswell).

Flashback was hard back in the day but captivating.

My most played game was multi-palyer Sensible Soccer International but its available on so many consoles/computers. The Streets of Rage games were also excellent in co-op.

Oh and get Grandslam Tennis simply for "Ada-vantage Perver"

Haunting: Starring PoulterGuy. It was a great game, I'm glad someone else remembers it! Its so hard to find though....
