This is a capatalist society we live in buddy.
Something is worth how ever much someone will pay for it.

Anyway, Id say its worth it, I wouldnt sell my perfect copy of it even if prices rose to double that price. Quite simply one of the most innovative and perfectly formed RPG's Ive played in years.

But I take it you also like it, since you bought it?
I dont think id buy an updated version, the rough looking graphics for me add to the atmosphere, it really feels like Im flying around a desolated landscape.

Out of interest, I bought mine for ?40 off some kid who didnt really know its full value. (hehehe, chump)

Is that true about the 5000 ever made for each region or is he doing his good salesman bit.

Surely it cant be right, I havent read it anywhere before.

I think that is true for the PAL release don't know about the others.

Picked mine up for ?25 minus outer sleave about 4 years ago in CEX. Its still in my top 10 best games of all time list. Simply breathtaking.

I'm just waiting for the Saturn EMU and then I'll get the ROM.

Paying that much money for a game, when none of that money will go to the people who created it - is ridiculous.

Waiting for the Saturn Emu ? I'm pretty sure Sega's Saturn Emulator runs it quite well, it came out a long while ago.

Who's the source behind those figures? Got a link?

Even at 16,000, and with an installed European console base of around 1 million, that's still an incredibly small print run for what is considered as one of the Saturn's key games.

I'd have thought Panzer Dragoon Saga would have been issued at least with a 30,000-40,000 distribution run. But then I suppose it did come right at the end of the Saturn's lifespan...

erm, I may be totally off, but isnt there also a difference between numbers manufactured and numbers in circulation?

I know they ended up simply destroying thousands of classic games over the years when they were returned to the manufacturers.

                              Such a shameful waste.

Was it the same with PDS? If people didnt know about it until too late, many copies may have been burned.

Then again, I may be well off here.
