gamecube phantasy star online us console?

here is my dilemma, i have a modded us gamecube and a freeloader.
i want to go online with the uk phantasy star, so will
1,the uk modem work with a us machine?
2,will the fact that i'm using a freeloader make a difference?

    please help!

    1) Yes
    2) Dunno - it's a PAL game, so I'm not sure if it'll boot in 50hz or work in 60hz. The option is there for PAL gamers, but I'm not too sure how it works on a US 'cube - I guess the option is the same. If it does boot in 50hz, you'll only see one EU ship with about 3 people on it

Ideal solution, get an NTSC version.

Don`t even bother as uk pso don`t work with freeloader properly as when you try to connect to go online, it will just boot back to the gamecube menu. Try and get hold of a us version if you can and i saw hmv doing the datel keyboards for ?20 which look alot better than the ascii ones at ?60. Also the uk modems will work fine with any machine as there universally compatible.

It will work but you need to use a PAL cube to set up the network settings, a US cube just crashes when you try to do it. Once you have set it up on a PAL cube and saved it to your memory card then it will be fine on your US cube.
