    PC Engine CD question

A friend of mine just got a PC Engine (original white one) plus a CD rom 2 add on (with the briefcase connector thing).

The kit did not come with an Arcade card to run the Cd-Rom games.

Can someone give me a clue which card he will need, just an Arcade card?
Is a system card 3.0 just a beefed up version of the 2.0 card (more RAM), but does the same job?

    Thanks for any help.

Basically yes they are just bigger ram cards.

a system 2.0 card will only allow you to play the original green spine cd games.

A system 3.0 card (AKA Super system card) will allow you to play all pink spine super cd games & green spine cd games.

The arcade card comes in 2 flavours duo & pro version. If you have the white breifcase setup you will need the Arcade carde pro as the other one is for the Duo range of consoles. The arcade card can play all cd games (blue, pink & green spines)
