XBOX live - permanently transfer accounts?

just got my LE xbox and am thinking of geting rid of my standard box so i want to transfer my account over.

I know I can copy my account to the memory card and "use" my account on the LE machine. BUT is there a way of transfering the account onto the LE machine so I can play without the memory card etc? (if I take the memory card out the account goes too)

How does account recovery work? I was looking at getting a LE version myself?

How do you recover it? Do you have to transfer it first via mem card, then select TRANSFER and choose the account you just copied on card?

super simple.

as darrylstott says 'Account Recovery'

on your new xbox

1 select live
2 select account recovery
3 enter your live tag
4 answer a few questions (address etc)
5 live configures account on to new xbox - permanent transfer complete!
