US SNES power question.

Just received my US SNES this morning. Hooray! Now I'm one million percent positive that this question has been asked a thousand times before so I apologise in advance for doing so again. Anyway, here goes:

The power lead has a 2-pronged plug on it which appears to be from a super famicom, rather than from a SNES. Can I use the same step-down/up adapter I use for my Jap Gamecube or will I need to use a different one? Can I just buy something to use from Maplins? Thanks for any help.

I would use it, I use the same step down for my Jap Neo Geo Aes and American one and they work o.k. and USA Nes.

As long as the seller sold it as working you should be ok. If unsure just compare the specs on the plugs eg on the Gamecube and Snes plug to be double sure.
