    Playing import NES games?

I have an Japanese NES cart that I'd like to give a friend to play on his European NES.

    Do we need an adaptor?

You mean a Japanese Famicom cart, right?

Wrong one though.. that enables you to play NES carts on a Famicom. So many places label a "60 to 72 pin" convertor (which you want) as the other way around, it's stupid.

A lot of early carts like Excitebike are actually Japanese carts with an adaptor built into the shell. Just find a copy at a car boot, get it open and use the convertor in it.

Is that also the case with PAL carts? I've never bothered checking, but from what I read, I assumed it was only in the US.
