Considering I work in information management, to say that it'd be hard to transfer that data to a modern PC is more than a bit spazzy. It's a 10 minute job.

Surely a specialist police computer unit that handles this sort of thing would employ people who knew more about computers than just the last 5 minutes or the last 2 Microsoft OSes, no?
I mean, it's hardly punch cards.
