    See-through N64 & RGB modding

My Jpn N64 appears to have died so a replacement is needed - I quite fancy one of the see-through colour models, but need to know if the RGB mod can be performed on them.

    Anyone have one done?

If not, is S-vid the best connection method?

    Thanks in advance

I think the RGB mod is possible on all of the JPN/US N64 models but don't hold me to that!

    I the transparent N64's!

The later models wont work, you'd have to check the VDC markings to be sure..

You could always just put an RGB-moddable board into a transparent case. N64s are so cheap it probably wouldn't cost you too much.

What exactly is the difference between an US and JAP N64?
          Just the game cartridges?
But if you wider/open the insert slot of the US machine it will fit JAP games and plays them without a problem? (or was it the other way around...)

^ The difference between JPN/US games is basically just the size of the tabs cut out the back of the cartridges. The photo below shows a Japanese and US cart.

In regards to the RGB mod... I dunno.

May as well ask here rather than start a new thread...

Is there a 60Hz mod available for PAL N64s?

I believe video mode is dictated by the software.

You can run ntsc games in 60hz on your pal n64 with a passport converter thingy. Probably
