WTB 28" CRT TV & Stand please. W Mids

I have a HDTV Plasma and it hates older consoles! image retention is terrible with it..i'm still clearing a megadrive game from tea time.

Anyway, time to buy a nice 28" widescreen and stand for my room for old/retro.

Model unimportant, must have decent pic if possible please and must have a RGB socket.

Stand would be nice but will take just a telly (CRT) if needs be.

I'm in the west mids and would need a delivery, but will pay your time/petrol

Please post/pm if you can help..i'm dying to finish super shinobi!!

    Thank you

If it's purely for retro, wouldn't it be better to get a 4:3?

I'll second that, as opposed to widescreen what you really need is flatscreen.

I think you may actually struggle to get find a TV which is physically 4:3 screen wise (Argos do list one but only one) but a 16:9 should still have the option to display in 4:3 (the 3 16:9 sets tht I have all do). Also bear in mind if you're wanting to use any light guns with the set that they mostly don't work with sets which have a 100hz refresh rate.

I'd try and get an old 4:3 Sony Trinitron. Those things are ****ing beasts I swear. Wonderful, wonderful CRT TVs with a gorgeous picture.
