I've just has a reader write in to the mag wanting to know about decent arcades in London. He's just moved over from Australia and doesn't like the fact that there are no arcades dedicated to 70/80 and 90s games. If you could give me a few names and locations I'd greatly appreciate it.

There's a few threads already on London arcades I think, but basically there's 2 decent places- Casino on Tottenham Court Road, near Goodge Street, next to the scientology place, and the Troc between Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
Casino's got lots of decent fighters and some decent shooters (lots of Cave-y stuff), and the Troc's got allsorts, including 2 Afterburner Climaxes, Sega Rally 3, Tekken 6 (in the fighters area, getting loads of play at the moment) and bits of random old stuff here and there.
There are other little arcades dotted around the place, but mostly slot machine-type places that have the odd few cabs. -
yeah i think its casino which usually splashes the cash and gets the odd hot new arcade. not sure if they still do, fingers crossed they get sf4. trocadero is the best place. 100's of arcades new and old. though its pretty empty half the time.Comment
