Not sure if this is allowed but where is the best place to get an R4 from?

try Amazon but avoid the Version 3's

or get a DSTT as no more updates will be available for the R4

I'd avoid looking for an R4 since they have been discontinued.

I'd go for a CycloDS, more expensive but they are still being made and still getting regular firmware updates and developments. I got mine here

You'll have to keep checking the site and be patient because as soon as they get more stock they pretty much sell out within an hour or 2.

I'd agree with Ajay - CycloDS Evolution is the best flashcard on the market. I got mine from Consoleup (recieved in less than three days from ordering), but they have a mixed reputation amongst customers, tbh.

Myself and friends have all used Consoleup and haven't had a problem with them in the slightest.

I've used Techwizad in the past for other things, and they've always pulled through. Nothing remarkable, but 'fine'.

I've got the R4 for homebrew... just waiting for some good quality emulators now.

Has anyone developed any which run on the DS yet?

There's a superb speccy emulator out for it.

Is there a decent C64 emulator out for it by any chance?

Another vote for the CycloDS. Works really well. So great putting all my games on it and forced me to replay them all (I couldn't get the savegame wifi transfer working with my router ). There's some good homebrew too - my 4 year old son plays colors most days (neat and simple paint package).
