    Chiptunes

    Im sure quite a few of you are fans of the Chiptune genre.
    Ive come across a very talented Chiptune musican/band I thought id share with you;

    Anamanaguchi (Listen to Blackout City, its awesome)

    Anyone else have any recommendations?
    For those who are new to the genre, id also recommend checking out Sabrepulse and Hujiko Pro

    Most of the chiptune stuff I've heard have been on cracktros or keygens tbh, but I'm really liking the Sabrepulse stuff on there!

      I stumbled across Anamanaguchi about a week ago actually! I got their EP called power supply, it's wild ****, unfortunately "Blackout City" doesn't seem to be on it though.

      Do they have any other releases?

        If you don't know Bit Shifter, I can highly recommend his music.

        Here you can hear some of his tracks:

        Listen to music from Bit Shifter like Hexadecimal Genome, Activation Theme & more. Find the latest tracks, albums, and images from Bit Shifter.

          Hmmm I always found Bit Shifter to be a bit too abstract for my liking.
          I much prefer the more catchy melodies that Sabrepulse and the like do.

              Got to pimp the work by Jake "Virt" Kaufman and not just the chiptunes. Like movie parodies, he's very clever with dropping references in a geeky musical way. Makes you feel nostalgic if you grew up playing Konami NES games. His original compositions are always catchy and have that video game vibe. Check out his Classical Favourites 2 and his first "FX" compilation. Most are mp3 format, but you might need something like modplug player to play those two songs.

                  I can recommend PPPPPP, it's the soundtrack to the retro-styled platformer VVVVVV. And it's dope
