    J.League Winning Eleven 8 ~Asia Championship~

Not had a chance to play this too much so far, but I did spend most of last night in VS. mode with a mate. The most obvious thing about JWE8 is that the jerky slowdown and "tearing" from the normal game is gone, and it generally runs a bit smoother and feels more refined.

Structure-wise, it's pretty-much the same as WE8 but with wackily-named teams from Japan, Korea & China replacing the World Soccer ones. There's no International sides as far as I can tell, but IGN claim that European players & teams can eventually be found in the Master League, which I haven't touched yet.

Graphically, it's the same as before, but with some new (Asian) stadiums and licensed kits for the J & K-League teams. Old favourites like the San Siro, Nou Camp etc are still available too.

The game plays slightly differently from WE8 since the teams are more well-matched, with no dramatic gulf in quality between them, and the general standard of player is lower than in WE8, which can make most games tighter and harder to win. WE8 feels quite arcadey by comparison.

Personally, I enjoy battling and scraping my way to a 1-0 win just as much as hammering someone 5-0, so I welcome the slower pace and increased scoring difficulty.

Overall though, not enough changes, so one for WE completists only.
