    NBA 2K7 [Xbox 360]

Well, another season of b-ball hits us and so far another resounding thumbs up from me.

Graphically, there's not much to fault with this. This version looks slightly darker in comparison to 2K6, and the jerseys have a bit more 'sheen' to them, making them look a lot better. The players look better animated as well.

The gameplay feels slower and more deliberate this time. There seems to be more enertia and momentum to the players movement and dribbling, where when trying crossovers or shimmy's you can be buffeted and then your character has to back off. Which i feel is very good compared to 2K6. Also there are less 'skating' animations this time, though they are still there.
When trying for cross court passes, there's more of a chance of it being swatted out for interceptions this time round, and a lot more agressive defense.

The main tag-line of the 2K7 game is the individualism of a lot of the star players, where individual traits are a lot more prevelant.
Take for example Steve Nash's dribbling, where sometimes he licks his fingers while dribbling. Shawn Marion's freaky toss-come-shot style, and Chauncy Billups' very short jump shot etc.
There's more fist pumping celebrations and showmanship celebrating between scoring buckets, so it definitely makes for an exiting watch, as you try to see all these new little animations.

Before in 2K6 when there were substitions, you get a canned animation of the player running onto court.
Now, it's seamless. Where you will now see your player jogging off court and taking his place on the subs bench, while the sub jumps on court.
Also the cheerleaders and team mascot running onto and off court are welcome additions to the immersion of 'being there'

Commentary can be a bit of a mixed bagged, since a lot seems to be re-used from last year :/
