I am one of the few people who actually enjoyed Sony's NBA 08. It was no frills and not too deep.
Now, Sony has released NBA 09 on the US PSN and I have to say its an improvement over NBA 08. Passing is way more accurate, and animations + physics are improved. The Life from the last-gen is also included now. I like it more than Live 09 so far. Gameplay is just fun imo.
Now I'm waiting for a 2k9 demo to see which one takes the cake for this year.
