It can sometimes be hard to find a genuine fantastic game on the Andriod Marketplace (much like the iphone). A lot of what is on offer is simple 5 minute fun, which does a job for the bus but offers nothing much more.
However i have found a few gems, one of which being Robo Defense. While the name does not sound that great, this is the one game that i have been playing more than anything else on any format.
The game at heart is a simple tower defense game with extremely effective touch screen controls. The game does nothing new, you have your waves that get harder and faster. Towers that you can pay to upgrade with differing properties. Some are short range and powerful, some long range and weak and some only take out certain types of enemy.
The game has an extremely long 100 wave demo that you can reply as all the money you earn still gets saves up and you have access to the shop to buy upgrades. These do not come cheap though.
The game also has a good few achievements that are again quite tough to hit and will take lots of replay.
While the game does nothing new the fantastic controls coupled with some good presentation make this one a winner.
