    Fire Panic (DSiware)

This qwirky fun DSiware game is exactly what pick up and play is all about.

So what is Fire Panic? Well it is quite similar to Flight Control on mobiles phones and DSiware. You have to guide 2 fire engines round a town to complete tasks, each time you do you get a point, sound simple? Well it is. However depending on where the fires are, depends on how quick you need to attaend the blaze. If an oil drum is on fire, then it will blow up quicker, than say a tiny building fire. You also have different size of blazes, that will do damage quicker or slower depending on the size. If a blaze gets out of control it is game over. Small fires take slightly less time to put out (1 sec) against 2 seconds for big fires, also if you travel past a blaze you will still spray water reducing the size of the fire, but you need to stop at that blaze to fully put it out. Within about 30 seconds you can have 10+ blazes in your city to attend. The gameplay only gets more frantic after that.

As well as putting out fires you have to rescue cats stuck in trees for score multiplier bonuses. If a cat goes unrescued that is the end of that multiplier, but it is not game over like if a blaze gets out of hand.

The game also has a hard city, which contains dead ends and fire engines that run out of water and need to be refilled. However for each blaze put out in the hard game 3 points are given.

The retro styled graphics and great sound track just add to the game, this is a great pick up and play game for a spare minute or 2 and is much better than Nintendos 200 point offerings.

I suggest you buy if you have a spare 200 points kicking about.
