The demo features two quests, hunt either Ludroth or an ice variant of Barroth, both of which should be more than familiar to those who played Tri. A number of armour/weapon setups are selectable, although some weapon types are missing, such as the hunting horn and gun lance. Gameplaywise it's exactly what you'd expect from Monster Hunter. The most obvious new feature available in the demo is the ability to take more than one Felyne with you when hunting solo, each with their own armour and weapon type(I love the one with Ratholos armour and G.Sword).
Graphically it's one of the most impressive looking games on PSP, with the monsters looking very close to the Wii versions. It's been a while since I played Freedom Unite but I'm pretty sure the monsters in that didn't look as good as they do in this.
