Only had a little try of this but it seems really fantastic. RPG action adventure in the style of the 16 bit-era classics, especially reminiscent of Secret of Mana. Combined with fast-paced sensibility of more modern dungeon loot-em-ups like Torchlight (it steals that game's idea of taking a pet along to do your fetching and carrying).
Plot follows a girl in a land of magic who has no magic powers of her own and is therefore considered a freak/outcast, which determines also the gameplay: the titular 'mage gauntlet' gives her power to draw dozens of spells from the environment and fling them out at baddies. Your quest: find out why you have no magic of your own!
Controls beautifully and looks and sounds lovely, just like Secret of Mana although somehow even more impossibly colourful. Beautifully animated character sprites and backgrounds, and terrific music. Looks also to have quite some longevity/replay value, with tons of achievements and a tougher NG+ to open up on completion.
Writing is nice and humourous, with lots of in-jokes about the genre.
In short, if you're into SNES-era action RPGs you'll probably be tickled pink by this.
