Hydroventure: Spin Cycle (3DS E-Shop) review

Been playing this over the last few days what a gem it is.

The idea is to guide your band of water to the goal, those of you that have played Loco Roco should be at home, as it is a similar idea, however Hydroventure is a lot more task based. Having to work out the best way to achieve objectives that stunt your progression. These usually take the form of getting the correct colour cogs, to the correct colour gate. Other tasks such as getting fish back to their tank and killing firey bugs have also featured in the first few levels.

The game is very easy to play, but the puzzles quickly have you thinking and are quite difficult in places. The game also grades you at the end depending on if you beat the level time and how much water you had remaining. These level times are very hard to beat the further you get into the game.

The graphical style is fantastic a real nice hand drawn feel suits the game perfectly. The game features some great level design, i would suggest this is not a game to be played in the bath as you will be moving your 3DS 360 degrees in most of the levels.

As far as i can see the game offers 60 levels over 4 chapters and costs ?7.99.

Anybody looking for a quality platform puzzler should look no further.
