Sold on marble blast comparison despite not having seen the pics - will dload demo tomorrow

Might be totally different for all I know That's what it reminded me off when I saw the video at E3. Moreso the multiplayer part of Marble Blast where you have to collect the gems etc... Except this Geon seemed to have more rotating/flipping of the map.

The Geon video in the E3 XBLA promo reminded me of the Endorfun puzzler.

Looks like a bit of an odd one. Seems almost like a 3d pacman but the description on the xbox site doesn't seem to back that up.

Did Endorfun really make you go funny when it first came out? I downloaded it once hoping this would happen but assume they'd have had to change it if it did.

Geon does sound a lot like it as well since it talks about moods. It looks pretty, I hope it's a lot of fun.

Can't remember if it was the media or the PR twerps that make the fuss around the game. If one of the subliminal messages was to eat lots of pies and stay up every school night watching Married with Children on your Game Gear TV, then it did do me harm.

Thinking back Endorfun was about matching the same coloured tiles on the cube and grid. Probably just the visual style linking the two. Will have a fondle tomorrow, Highly doubt it'll be worth 6.80£. Only game due out that even has me thinking of spending 800 points is Switchball.

Well I don't think so. I'm sure i've played something like this before. It was either on a board game or a simliar version back in the PSone days. Anyway, i'm finding it rather fun. It looks nice, some nice level design going on and against a decent oppenent i'm sure it will prove to be a nice gaming challenge. Lot's of special type abilities going on throughout a match which helps mix up the fun and allows various crafty tactics to be used which can swing the result of a match around in an instance. It's def one of the better "new" type games to be released on XBLA imo rather then just getting the usual update of a classic. (which im not complaining about btw) ^_^

I only tried the trial, but as skates just arrived i must admit i only had ten minutes with it but i didnt like it at all. are you playing the full game.

just downloaded the trial of todays game not sure what all the talk of emotions and goals and future sports is - you hoover up dots in a flipping end over end cube whilst your opponent does the same on the other side of the surface you are playing on.

maybe i should give it more time but with the releases about to come thick and fast can't see this getting much of a reception.

the xbla games have to be pretty special between now and xmas to get a look in.

Loads of TGS stuff up on various marketplaces... Including a Virtua Fighter 5 "demo trailer" as well as gamerpics for it. Also trailer #2 for Soul Calibur IV up on japanese marketplace.

I don't know, but I have noticed that Bioshock suddenly has a lot of slowdown that wasn't there last night.

                              It's nothing special at all:

This is not the ‘fall dashboard update.’

Today the team is releasing a minor system update via Xbox Live. Over the next few hours, when you sign in to Xbox LIVE, you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. What’s in this update? Much like the update last month, the only thing this minor release will do is prepare your Xbox 360 for the Big Button Pad that is being released this holiday. Why do we need to release this update now? Simple: The certification team needs time to test the new controller against the retail hardware/software combination before it hits stores.

One more thing: no new features beyond this big button pad support are included in this update and, once again, this is not the ‘fall dashboard upgrade.’ When I have firm details on the next major update, I will share them.
