UK Wii pre-orders Thread

I've just seen this on ebuyers forum, I've bolded the part I'm interested in.

Paul - I have been very very careful not to oversell our stock like some of our competitors have done. The only case where this has happened is with the Need for Speed: Carbon game. I was told that there would be no stock issues but it turns out that EA's build allowance was cut by Nintendo and therefore couldn't supply retailers with their full allocation. Stock was cut from everywhere which has left us retailers in a big mess.

Do Nintendo print and press software for 3rd parties? I was always under the impression most publishers would have their own facilities.

Maybe they deliverately limited EA's total output to stop them flooding the market with crap at the expense of decent third-parties like Ubisoft?

Well i pre-ordered with Littlewoods catalogue (There is a reason why and thats because i got it cheaper than anywhere else :P ) However soemhow i dont think i will be getting it tommorow as they said between the 8th and 18th!

Has anyone from woolies got confirmation yet? I know a friend who works in one and she says that 75% of their Wii allocation is stuck in germany.

Dont put 100% faith into it, but she seemed pretty annoyed about it.

My woolies order for the Wii console shows as Fulfilled - i take it thats pretty positive? Zelda shows ready for billing. Think i'll now be getting two zeldas, one from Woolies and one from Gameplay

I didn't get to see my order as fulfilled as it went straight from ready to despatch to gone from the listing.

Just got off the phone with Woolies and the chap said that it's on it's way and will probably arrive at the store (London area) on Saturday but there is a chance it could be tomorrow or even Monday.

I also asked about ready to bill as my games said that and he said that once card clearance goes through they will be sent out too, by that point you have stock but it just needs to be paid for before getting in the van.

whats this 'fulfilled' crazyness? my woolworths status says dispatched, has been since the 2nd. Going to the gamestation midnight launch in a few hours time so the guy who bought my irl preorder can pick it up, and so i can score me some zelda and scart cables. woo.
