PS3 & 360 Rock Band drum/mic query

Is it true that they will be compatible with each other on both PS3 and 360?

If so, that'd be fantastic as I'm getting US PS3 Rock Band in a few weeks and it'd be great knowing that I can just (maybe) buy the 360 Rock Band game only, so I can have a better online experience with mates on Xbox Live.

It might be possible as it will be too expensive to produce 2 version of each hardware as it might not be able to sell bucketload with high price tag.

I'm in the exact same position, guess we'll find out soon enough, the PS3 Rock Band contoller is wireless though so that wouldn't work on 360 so you'd need to use the Guitar Hero one or buy the RB guitar seperately.

I don't mind buying a 360 wireless guitar and 360 Rock Band game only just to play it again on the 360 online with me mates on Xbox Live though...

I really can't wait for this.

I guess we'll know in a couple of weeks time when it's out on US!
