Games using simple Japanese w/ Furigana

Summer is coming up, that's gaming time for me, but I might as well use it as Japanese practice also.

Can anyone recommend any games that use (relatively) simple Japanese, preferably with Furigana? I hear the Zelda games are good for this.

Umm, I can't remember the N64 ones using furigana at all. But, I strongly recommend you to get the japanese phantom hourglass because it has the best use of the DS I've ever seen as far as Japanese goes, and it utterly unacceptable that any game made after it doesn't have this feature - it's in kanji, but if you hold the stylus over the word it will come up with the furigana.

I would also say it's best to stay away from gameboy games (including Link's awakening) cos they're all in kana, which is a pain in the ass. The time will come when you will pray for kanji.

Maybe it was Twilight Princess that I saw? I just remember seeing a Zelda game with Furigana.

TP probably does. It's been such a long time since I've played it I can't remember.
Phantom houglass was great for the furigana feature.

I've just had a check and The Wind Waker and F-Zero use furigana, and Mario Sunshine just uses kana. I have spare copies of all three if you're interested

Zelda Windwaker is simple enough I believe as mentioned above. Not played it since I learnt Japanese though. Besides that some Doraemon manga is yr best bet.

Read REBORN! or some JUMP series. Mx0 is good too.
