Coming 2013, for current gen consoles? Might not be such a good idea. Nobody knows how popular PS3 and the XBox will be at that time. Hopefully they are forward thinking in their development, so that it can easily be ported to the upcoming consoles if they are out by then (my guess is that they will be). Also seems a bit premature to announce this like this, at this time. The game is three years away, and all we got was a logo. They think a logo can fuel the hype train for three years? That would have to one sexy logo, and not a INFAMOUS rip-off.

Heheheh when it actually came up I really did think it was just Infamous, I was like IN....famous? OH, INSANE! I seeee.
2013 though, they are obviously in this for the long haul aiming for 360/PS3.
Most important question though is will this mean Volition Inc won't have Saints Row 3 out 2011 alongside Red Faction?

2013... Risky, the publishers must know that they're risking releasing a big budget title when focus could be on next gen consoles (the Wii 2 will certainly be out by then)

No one really knows what the Wii 2 will be like, but I agree that it's likely that the console will be previewed between 2011 and 2012.
If the Wii 2 will be feature "modern" hardware it will also be middleware friendly, so including the console in the development cycle would be relatively easy...but this is pure speculation and tangent to the thread.

I don't really know what t expect from Del Toro and the development team. Part of me is screaming "motion controoooolssss", but with only a teaser and logo anything can be.

Next gen or not, 360 and PS3 are the smart choice. Even if new systems are due then it'll still be all about this gen and the existing userbase. Now, announcing a 2013 release in 2010 at all, well that's questionable decision making, lol
