    Revolution - Evolution

In essence this is similar to the moral dilemma threads but far, far less dramatic, lol. The last year has proven without doubt that NTSC has become home to unwarranted, unevidenced old fashioned moan when it comes to games. Through the Headlines, E3 and First Play sections we see countless complaints about a lack of originality in titles and ideas in games and that all people want is original games with damned casuals ruining the charts with drivel. Some annual franchises are derived whilst others loved despite very little variance between development cycles and advancement between them. It's a war of words and misery is winning.

What's the real consensus though? Is yet another sequel a sign of a creatively bankrupt industry or is an original title always worth the risk of being all ideas and no quality?

Which would you ultimately prefer given the choice?

A - An original title with a unique style and some interesting fresh ideas fused into it's gameplay mechanics

B - A sequel to a popular title that increases visual fidelity and polishes the framework and gameplay of what went before it
