ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA - June 23, 2011 - Starting Thursday, June 28, a group of students in Adelaide, Australia will host a Zelda video-game marathon raising money for Child’s Play charity. Since late 2010, the group has raised more than $26,000 for various charities. Child’s Play is a charity which provide toys, books and games to sick children in hospitals all over the world. Donations support children by distracting them from their illnesses, and help them cope with fear, anxiety, and boredom.
Seen a few marathons before, pretty neat way to fund-raise for charity if you ask me
Donated $10 myself and will probably tune in on it from time to time later today. Starts at 9:30AM BST if anyone is interested in watching!
Also asked a friend who is moderating the chat on the live stream to write a blog post about it
