Having reformatting my hard drive due to my computer becoming appalling slow, I can't get the sound card drivers to install properly.
The offending drivers are the on-board c-media sound chip on a K7S5A motherboard with Windows 98SE. The thing is I actually got sound working at one point when the installation asked for the destination of the file dmusic.sys which I have discovered is required in order to install any sound device. But upon restarting I was back with no sound again, re-installing the device drivers didnt work however when re-installing I am not prompted for the dmusic.sys file.
Any help would be much appreciated.
