I've got a problem with the speakers attached to my PC. They are made by Cambridge Soundworks and at the moment I can only use them if I have plugged headphones into the side and use those otherwise they don't play any sound at all.
What I want to establish is whether this is likely to be the amp that has blown on the speakers and they are useless now or whether the power supply to the speakers is the problem in which case I can just buy one of those universal adapters instead.
Normally when you switch the speakers on there is a small red light that lights up. This doesn't happen anymore which makes me think that it is the PSU but while I am using the headphones plugged into the speakers and remove the PSU from the back the sound stops coming through the headphones.
Any advice?
