I'm needing a printer for uni and it has to be USB and also will need to be able to handle everything I throw at it (not literally). I dont need a photo printer btw as I dont actually own a digital camera at the moment. I have no idea which printers are any good so would appreciate some advice or where I could find some. I'd presume there isnt a What Printer magazine for example.
Budget isnt a big deal as I know printers arent that expensive but there are so many out their I dont know which one to get.
Any recommendations?
Some printers eg the HP 5850 ($150 in US = ?85 and ?180 over here) are going for like half the price in america which is a bit of a bitch. Other than the plug do you think there would be any difference? Iv got loads of US stuff already eg my ipod charger, iv just got a travel adaptor which changes the plug from US to UK on that.
I was thinking of maybe an all in one printer and they seem to be rather reasonably priced, well the ones i have looked at.
Eg I am a printer,scanner and copier for ?80!
Does the price of it automatically mean bad quality though as there are two versions that have since superseded it? The CX5400 and the CX6600
