Airport Extreme vs Express and connecting consoles?

Hi, the girlfriend has decided wires are bad, so i'm attempting to see how to connect her laptop, consoles and (soon) a PSP wirelessly.

Now it looks like the Airport Express dosent have any ports to connect things to directly, and the Airport Extreme has a single RJ45 for LAN connections? The telephone jack for the incoming ADSL is far away from the TV & consoles (so two limiting fixed points), so just what do i need?

Airport card for laptop: She's got a 15" Powerbook from a couple of years ago, and i dont think its got an airport card - all new ones seem to - so there's no listing to buy these on the Apple Store now?!

Airport Express: to plug phoneline into. Which should sort laptop (once its got a card) and PSP.

???: just how do people connect their consoles? It's sort of impractical (or object defeating) to do a long cable from the Airport to TV. But to get an additional Airport Extreme, place it by the TV and run a short ethernet cable from it to the consoles/router, just to them seems like a waste? Is a Linksys Game Adapter the answer? and is it fully compatible with Airport stuff ? (one would assume so given standards, but assumptions...)

Anyway, if anyone can offer tips it would be appreciated.
