Hey guys, since I'm pretty much clueless and don't want to kill my Treamcast I need some advice.
Anyone who has a Treamcast will know that the power supply it ships with is noisy. I was wondering if it's OK to use an adjustable power supply (3,6,8,12 V DC, 230V AC, 50Hz) with it instead... but with me knowing diddly squat it's dangerous

The back of the TC says DC 12V 30W.
If the one I have won't work, any idea where I can get a less-noisy one? I took the power supply to Maplins a while ago in search of a replacement but the guy kinda mumbled and frowned before saying ?40 and that it'd take a while to order
