Rayman RR and progressive third parties

Yesterday evening I had my first multiplayer session with Raving Rabbids...fun, though I didn't knew you could only play with the minigames you unlocked in the singleplayer...oh well, moving on to the topic.

I was browsing the manual while the other players connected their remotes and found out that there should be an option menu in the main screen. Too bad that I only have "audio menu" with volume levels. No video options (so the game is struck at 4:3 with interlaced scan) or any other option the manual describes.
The game is the American version (bought from VG+), the console is US (of course), set to 480p 16:9 and component lead.

Does Ubisoft needs to revise their manual QC or there's something wrong with my Wii? I'm asking that because the only game outputting a 480p is Zelda (the console dashboard is fine, 480p), Super Swing Golf, Elebits, Metal Slug and probably Trauma Center (I have to recheck this one) output at 480i (or so the monitor says). Can someone confirm that those games are only 480i?

Adiitional info on the p/i scan "problem": Wii Sports runs progressive and when I tried Trauma Center it updated the console. So far it hasn't been connected to the internet (waiting for the ethernet adapter).
