AES Joystick cable has broke, how to replace?

Went to use my AES stick the other night and its not going left. Tested everything and narrowed it down to the cable itself. Now its easy enough to replace the cable with a bog standard cable and a pc connector, but i want to salvage the original look so i need the snk plastic connector saving somehow.

I know i can prise the connector apart as that how i tested the cables but its the pins sitting in the connector i need to save as well.

Any suggestions? i even thought about one of those joystick extensions but the neo ones seem stupidly expensive.
