Hi All,
I have been reasonably happy using CM10 on my Galaxy S2, although I have noticed stability issues and have decided to try a different ROM. In particular, the battery life is TERRIBLE – less than a day's use and I often have to carry a second battery and switch it over.
I did quite like the Samsung SMS, Dialler and Contacts apps – and would be nice to get those back. However, the rest of TouchWiz is ******* ugly. One massively important element of a good ROM is the stock JB lockscreen widgets – especially the quick camera access.
I understand that a change of Kernel could improve my battery life? I have been looking at Siyah. However I have had difficulty installing it using these general steps: http://androidforums.com/galaxy-s2-i...-settings.html
I currently have SuperNexus, but when following the above directions it just semi-bricks the phone and I end up having to re-flash with SuperNexus. Can anyone tell me how to get Siyah and Supernexus batting for the same team?
If I could get a stable ROM which is fairly close to the stock Google experience, that would be ideal – and one that has good battery life. Also, one that features a power widget in the notification drawer? Any suggestions?
Many thanks for your time. I'm asking here because I'm not allowed to post in developer forums.
